India's Leading Cold Chain Logistics Lab: Real-World Learning by Diorama MBA Students

At Diorama Eduversity, we don’t just teach supply chain theory—we immerse our students in it. As part of our commitment to experiential learning, our Logistics & Supply Chain Management students recently visited one of India’s most advanced cold chain logistics facilities—Central Labs.

This wasn't just a field trip. It was hands-on, high-stakes, and industry-grade training in one of the most critical components of modern supply chains: temperature-controlled logistics.

What They Experienced:

• Cold Storage Protocols: Students were introduced to the real-world infrastructure behind storing perishables like food, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals—where even a 1°C deviation can cost millions.

• Refrigerated Transport Systems: From reefer trucks to GPS-monitored containers, they explored how goods are transported across long distances while maintaining consistent temperatures.

• Real-Time Tech & IoT: The lab exposed students to the use of cutting-edge tech—like data loggers, RFID sensors, and AI-enabled monitoring systems—to track and manage cold chain flows in real time.

• Regulatory Compliance & Safety Standards: Students learned about the stringent standards that govern cold chains, including FSSAI, WHO, and GDP norms for pharmaceuticals.
