At Diorama Eduversity, we believe the best way to understand management is to see it in action. Our students recently had the opportunity to do just that during an exclusive industrial visit to the Eicher Plant in Indore—a leading name in India’s automotive and commercial vehicle industry.
This visit wasn’t just a walkthrough—it was a deep dive into world-class manufacturing, operations, and supply chain management systems, offering students a rare behind-the-scenes look at how a top-tier company functions with precision and scale.
What Students Witnessed:
Assembly Line Excellence: Students observed how efficiency, quality, and safety come together on the assembly line—turning raw materials into robust commercial vehicles.
Lean Manufacturing in Action: Eicher’s plant is a benchmark in lean and sustainable production, and students saw firsthand how waste is minimized and workflows are optimized in real time.
Supply Chain Synchronization: From vendor coordination to inventory management and outbound logistics, the visit showcased how a complex supply chain stays agile and responsive.
Smart Automation & Innovation: Students were introduced to modern industrial technologies such as automation, robotics, and digital tracking systems that power large-scale operations.
Why Industrial Visits Matter
Experiences like the Eicher Plant visit are integral to our Diorama Industry Programme, which complements classroom learning with real-world exposure. It’s one thing to study operations and supply chains in theory—and entirely another to walk through a functioning plant, talk to engineers, and observe how management principles are implemented on the floor.
"It was fascinating to see textbook concepts like Six Sigma and JIT actually being practiced on the ground," said one of our MBA students.
These visits are not just informative—they're transformational. They help students:
✅ Visualize the application of their studies
✅ Gain industry perspective and confidence
✅ Interact with professionals and ask real-time questions
✅ Get inspired for future career paths
